The Acquisitions Manager is responsible for the selection of vendors for the purchase of library materials. Qualities of service (i.e., speed, accuracy, special services) and price discounts are of primary importance. Approval plans are reviewed periodically to ensure the library is obtaining the best prices and service it can.

To support small, local bookstores, Decker Library is also committed to purchasing books from two particular vendors:
