The library does not automatically replace all materials withdrawn from the catalog because of loss, damage, or wear. Decisions are based on:

• whether other titles are available for purchase
• the existence of similar materials on the same subject already in the collection, and
• the demand for the particular item.

Lost items will be replaced if items go missing within 1 year of its purchase or if an item has circulated 3 or more times within the past 2 years.  Circulation staff will notify when possible of items marked on “missing list” to respective liaison librarians.
