Decker Library primarily acquires English language materials. Exceptions may be made for:
- Foreign language dictionaries
- Foreign language materials that are bilingual in English
- Artists’ books
- Important texts in disciplines with a high percent of ELL students in their native language
- The goal for acquiring these texts should be to help students understand a concept or technique that they have never encountered before.
- If the texts are about concepts or techniques already familiar to students, these texts will not be acquired.
