Budget Allocation

The Library Director has full discretionary use of collection development funds and ensures that funds are spent appropriately across the scope of the collection whenever possible.

Departmental Budget Purchases

From time to time and when departmental budgets allow, individual departments may purchase items and donate them to the Decker Library. These gifts depend on available funds and may affect the types of purchases made for collections used by that department.

The Subject Librarians may act in an advisory capacity to departments seeking suitable purchases and generally acts as the purchaser using library accounts and discounts to augment departmental funds.
